Frequently asked questions

Can I try CHRONOS before purchasing?

Definitely! The first 20 hours of flight time logged on CHRONOS are complementary. Try it out…we bet you’ll love it!

Is payment information required to make an account?

Nope! The sign up process takes only a few minutes, and no payment information is collected until you decide that you want to purchase a subscription.

Are any features inhibited during the trial period?

Only one feature is unavailable without purchasing a subscription, and that’s Exports. The behind-the-scenes processes involved in the various export types are quite resource-heavy even if you have only a few flights logged. For that reason, we inhibit this feature until a subscription is purchased.

I’m ready to buy. How much does a CHRONOS subscription cost?

We offer either a monthly subscription for $8.99, or a yearly subscription for $79 (save over 25% with a yearly subscription).

What operating systems are supported by CHRONOS?

CHRONOS has a Web App, an iOS app, and an Android app. The Web App can be accessed from any device with a web browser by logging in at ChronosLogbook.com, the iOS app can be found on the Apple App store, and the Android app can be found on the Google Play Store.

Is there a limit on the number of devices from which I can access my logbook?

Absolutely not! CHRONOS is uniquely designed for you to access your logbook on as many devices as you’d like at no additional cost.

How does data sync between devices?

It all happens automatically in real-time! As soon as you log a flight, it gets sent to the CHRONOS cloud, and your logbook is immediately updated across all platforms and devices with an internet connection. There’s no need to sync; you don’t even have to refresh the page (try logging a flight on one device with your logbook open on another device to see it happen right in front of you)!

Do I need an internet connection to use CHRONOS?

For real-time updates across devices, and to fully log a flight, an internet connection is required. If internet or cellular-data connection is unavailable, our mobile apps offer the ability to save a flight as a draft. You can then come back to it and easily finish logging with one click

If my device gets lost or breaks, what happens to my logbook?

Your logbook would remain completely intact, right where you left off! CHRONOS is a cloud-based digital logbook. This means that your data is not stored on any particular device. Instead, it is stored in the cloud in real time, and is accessible from as many devices as you’d like.

If I uninstall and reinstall the app, what happens to my logbook?

Your logbook would remain completely intact, right where you left off! CHRONOS is a cloud-based digital logbook. This means that your data is not stored on any particular device. Instead, it is stored in the cloud in real time, and is accessible from as many devices as you’d like.

What measures does CHRONOS take to protect my important logbook data?

A pilot’s logbook is one of their most important documents. If it gets lost or destroyed, the career-impacts are no small matter. That’s why we go to great lengths to protect your precious data! Our advanced databases are backed up hourly, to ensure that any data loss would be minimal in the unlikely event of a serious problem.

Can I export my logbook?

Of course! When exporting your entire logbook, CHRONOS has the option for a Custom export, or a “One-Click” export. Additionally, you can export summaries that are specifically tailored for AirlineApps.com, and IACRA; this saves HOURS of painstaking manual math.

I would like to print my exported logbook to bring to an interview. What are the recommended printing instructions?

For a high quality hard-copy of your logbook, we recommend printing on 8½ x 11 sheets of 32-pound laser paper. The export is formatted for side-coil binding once printed.
